Charity

By the time Aidan was 6 and Kristin was 4, we'd accumulated a lot of kid stuff and toys they didn't play with anymore. So I set out to tidy up. I explained to the kids the importance of charity, and we went through every room looking for things we could give away. To someone who wasn't as fortunate and needed them. I quickly discovered the age-old kids phenomenon...that every toy seems to miraculously regain its original value the moment someone else touches it. Aidan started getting frustrated and did NOT take to the idea of giving any of his treasured belongings away. Finally, he'd had it. He stormed away, yelling "Who is this 'charity girl' and WHY do you keep giving her my STUFF?"
